Questions
Can I play Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on a Mac?
Yes. Deadware rebuilds the original Xbox version as a native macOS app for Apple Silicon Macs, from your own disc.
Can I play with a keyboard?
No. It's a console game made for a gamepad, so you need one: Xbox, PlayStation or Switch Pro.
Why the Xbox version and not the PC one?
The Xbox version is the console game with its own levels, combat and camera, different from the 2002 PC game.
Didn't the game already come out on Mac?
The 2003 Mac release was the PC game for PowerPC Macs and Mac OS 9/X; it does not run on today's Macs. This port is the Xbox version, native on Apple Silicon.
Does it work on Intel Macs?
No, only Macs with an Apple chip (M1 and newer).
Do I need an emulator like xemu?
No. It's a regular Mac app: install it and play.
Is it free?
Yes. The port will be free; you need your own copy of the game.
